  5. Mouth ulcers
  6. Dental erosion
  7. Sensitive teeth
  8. Dental traumas

Bad breath

Also called halitosis. Around 85% of people with persistent bad breath have a dental complaint. Gum disease, tooth decay, mouth cancer, dry mouth and bacteria on the tongue are some of the dental problems that can cause bad breath.

Tooth decay

The second most prevalent illness after a common cold. It occurs when bacterial plaque is combined with sugar and/or starch in food. This combination causes acid that attacks dental enamel.

Gum disease

Also known as periodontal disease. It is an infection of the gums that surrounds the teeth, and it is one of the main causes of tooth loss in adults.

Mouth cancer

A serious mortal illness that affects millions of people. The main risk factors are the consumption of tobacco and alcohol. Regular visits to the dentist can help to detect mouth cancer early.

Mouth ulcers

They are known as aphthae and they appear in the mouth and not on the lips. They are not contagious and can be caused by many different factors.

Dental erosion

The loss of dental structure caused by the acid that attacks the enamel. Signs and symptoms of dental erosion can vary, from sensitivity to more serious problems, such as cracks.

Sensitive teeth

It is a common problem, involving pain or discomfort in teeth due to sweet things, cold air, hot drinks, cold drinks or ice cream. Some people with sensitive teeth even experience pain on brushing and flossing.

Dental traumas

An accident can cause from a small mark to a complicated tooth fracture. The chosen treatment will depend on the seriousness of the trauma and may range from rebuilding the fractured part with a filling resin to placing a crown. If the pulp has been affected, it is possible that root duct treatment is required.

Malocclusion

Your treatment, orthodontics, is not only for children. Straitening twisted teeth and aligning your bite not only to obtain an attractive smile. It may be a key part to improving dental health in general, relieving symptoms such as jaw pain.

Staining

Some food, certain medicines, tobacco and traumas are some of the causes of teeth discolouration. There are different treatments to improve the aspect of teeth, from the elimination of superficial stains to teeth whitening.

All these dental problems can be prevented and kept at bay with simple daily oral hygiene measures and it is also important to make regular visits to your dentist to reduce the possibilities of having dental problems that may lead to something worse.
